The Stay
Our home for the week is a beautiful villa near the beach, surrounded by olive trees and a lush garden. There’s a pool to relax by, a bright yoga space, and a hammam & massage room for those who want a little extra care. The villa has seven rooms with different options to suit your stay. All calm, spacious and made for slowing down.
Food
All meals are included: fresh, seasonal and cooked with love by our chef Zoë Verhoef. Think breakfasts in the sun, colourful lunches, and dinners shared around the table. We’ll also enjoy one lunch out in Essaouira: a taste of the town’s easy rhythm and local flavours.
Movement
Each day looks a little different. We flow through yoga and movement sessions, move along the beach during a hike, and take time to rest in between. The schedule is balanced. Enough energy, enough calm.
Experiences
Together we’ll explore Essaouira and join a local creative class. There’s plenty of free time to read, swim, or simply do nothing. And a few little surprises along the way: moments that make COUCOU retreats feel extra special.

Shared room for two guests. Some rooms have one queen-size bed, others have two separate beds. Twin beds are limited and offered on request, first come first served.

The villa is located approximately 10 minutes from Essaouira Airport and around 3 hours from Marrakech.
A shared transfer from Marrakech is included and will depart on the arrival day from Marrakech Medina and Marrakech Airport.
Guests flying directly into Essaouira Airport are also included in the transfer service. A private taxi transfer to and from the villa will be arranged for you.
Arrival at the villa will be from approximately 14:30 onwards.
On 17 March, the shared COUCOU transfer from Marrakech to Essaouira departs at 11:30.
On 21 March, check-out is at 10:00, followed by the shared transfer back to Marrakech

If you cancel more than 8 weeks before the retreat, any remaining balance you’ve paid will be refunded.
For cancellations made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the full amount is non-refundable, as all arrangements will have been confirmed.
You’re always welcome to transfer your spot to another guest if you can’t make it.

Bring your favourite yoga and barre outfits, a light sweater or joggers for cooler evenings, and layers for sunny days in Essaouira.
Add a swimsuit, sunscreen, and a pair of shoes for our beach walk.
We provide yoga mats and props, so you can travel light.

Yes! Your transport from Marrakech to Essaouira (and back) is included, as well as rides to all group activities.
If you’d like to explore during your free time, we can help you arrange a taxi at your own expense.

Of course! Whether you come solo or with a friend, you’ll be part of one big, easy-going group.
A limited number of Friends Rooms are available at €1200 per person. When you book a Friends Room together, you’ll share a private room for two.
What if the friends rooms are fully booked?
You can still join and share a room together by booking two regular spot’s at €1350 per person. In this case, the Friends Room rate no longer applies. -
Yes! Meals are fresh, colourful, and full of flavour, with vegetarian and vegan options available on request.

COUCOU retreats are for anyone who’s craving a few slow, sunny days in Morocco. To move, eat well, connect, and recharge.
You don’t need to be a yogi or fitness person; it’s about sharing moments, discovering beautiful places, and feeling part of a warm community.

March in Essaouira is usually mild and sunny, with temperatures around 18-22 degrees during the day. Evenings can be a cooler and, being by the coast, it can get windy. We recommend bringing layers and a light jacket for the evenings.

Not at all. All classes are open-level and easy to follow, whether it’s your first time on the mat or you’ve been practising for years.
Movement is just one part of the experience. Think beach walks, shared meals, good conversations, and time to simply be.
